The following terms of use and our privacy policy apply to your use of the StreetMind website. Please read the Terms of Use carefully.

By using the Site, you indicate that you accept these Terms of Use and that you agree to abide by them. The StreetMind website is hosted by SPOTTERON (https://www.spotteron.net/terms-of-use) and operated by the StreetMind team, located at the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (Executing Department: Institute of Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology). From this point on, ‘we’ or ‘us’ will refer to the StreetMind team and SPOTTERON, who are part of the Horizon Europe funded research consortium (https://www.environmental-project.org).

The StreetMind website may contain links to other internet site maintained by others, which are provided solely for the purpose on providing information in a convenient way to you. We are not responsible for the content of linked third-party sites or any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. We also do not make any representations regarding the content tor accuracy of materials on such third-party sites. We can also not guarantee that these links will work every time and we have no control over the availability of the linked pages.

3. Right to change/update Terms of Use

The Terms of Use may, at any time, be changed or updated, such that the change is effective immediately upon posting to the site. As user, you are responsible for regularly reviewing the Terms of Use to obtain timely notice of any change, since they are binding to you. 

4. Usage purposes

We invite you to use the website for lawful purposes, as intended. 

The StreetMind website should not be used for either of the following purposes …

• 1) … that breaches any applicable international, national or local regulations or laws
• 2) … to send or transmit unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other forms of unsolicited digital communication (SPAM)
• 3) … to send or distribute (knowingly/willingly) any material containing viruses, spyware, adware, Trojan horses, or any other harmful programs or codes designed to damage communication networks, computer systems or the like. 

5. Services provided on StreetMind

In the following section, you find a list of services that the StreetMind-Website uses via the provider SPOTTERON. By agreeing to the Terms of Use, you agree to the usage of the following service providers.

Please also read the Privacy Policy carefully for more detailed information, where these service are used and what type of data is stored on the StreetMind website.

5.1 Provision of web hosting for the project website (via SPOTTERON; https://www.spotteron.net/de/)

For providing the hosting, SPOTTERON uses the IT services of multiple web hosting providers from whose servers the services can be accessed. SPOTTERON may use storage and database services, infrastructure, provider services, computing power, and provided safety and technical maintenance service for these purposes. 

The data processed within these services may include content, data, and information in relation to the users of the IT services, which are collected during usage, access, and communication. This regularly consists of the IP address, which is required to deliver IT services to browsers or apps or external websites, services, and integrated tools. 

5.2 Internal eMail sending over the website or domain and hosting 

The IT hosting services SPOTTERON is utilizing can also include sending, receiving, and processing emails. The addresses of the recipients and senders and other data relating to the sending of emails (for example, involved providers) and the emails' contents are processed for these purposes. The processed data may also be used and processed for SPAM detection. Please note: emails on the Internet are commonly not transmitted in an encrypted form. In practice, emails are only encrypted during transport but not on the servers from which they are received or sent (without an end-to-end encryption method in place). Therefore, SPOTTERON cannot accept any accountability or liability for the transmission route of emails between the sender and reception on our IT services.

5.3 Collection of Log Files and Access Data 

SPOTTERON, the service- or the web-hosting provider, do collect data based on each access to the server in so-called server logs or server log files as it is the nature of the technological practice on the Internet. These server logs files can include the URL address, as well as the name of the web pages and files/pages accessed, the date and time of access, browser types and version numbers, data volumes and transferred traffic, the accessor's operating system, information, and notifications about successful or unsuccessful access, URLs which refer to pages or the website and in general the IP addresses and the identification of the access provider of the user. 

Such server logs and log files can also be used for IT security and audit purposes, e.g., to avoid overloading the service or servers (particularly in the circumstance of abusive attacks like DDoS attacks) and ensure the servers' stability and optimal load balancing. 

The following data types are processed: Usage-data (e.g., entry points, access times, websites visited, content interest), Content-data (e.g., text input, photographs, web-form inputs, videos), Meta- and IT communication data (e.g., device information, GEO-spatial information, IP addresses, access providers) 
Data subjects: Website visitors, registered users, users of online services 
Purposes of Data Processing: Provision of the IT services, app, and website functionality 
Legal Basis: Legitimate Interests (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR) 

6. Data Storage and Deletion

Withdrawal of your data: You can delete all your personal data processed by the project at any time by simply deleting your account in the settings. Your personal data will then be automatically deleted from the project's research database at the next data update. We do not store any further information about you if you prefer to delete your account and we cannot recover your personal data. If you withdraw, all your account information will be permanently deleted. The data that is already acquired via the app or the survey will be kept but cannot be linked to your user account on Streetmind anymore if you choose to delete your account.
