About the Project
StreetMind is part of a project funded by the EU Horizon Research and Innovation Programme (www.environmental-project.org). Through StreetMind we aim to address one of the most pressing challenges of our times: How can we reduce any negative impact of significant environmental challenges on our well-being?
Streets in minds or minds in streets? Why our environment around us can shape how we feel, act, and behave.
How our environment is affecting people’s ways of life including short and long-term well-being may nowadays even be more important. We are exposed to many, often very different, aspects throughout the day, and our environment is changing much faster than in previous years. This can relate to very different types of the environment, for example being in nature or in an urban area, and can depend on our social and living contexts.
How do environmental factors affect you, as a European citizen, during your life in terms of health and well-being, cognition and behavior? What are important risk- and resilience factors in your environment that influence your mental well-being?

We want you to share your experiences in daily life with us and the community to find out more about places and areas in Europe and abroad. Where do people spent most of the times of their days and how they like it there? For this, we developed the App StreetMind (Android; iOS) and a StreetMind Survey, based on citizen science principles (research for the people, with the people, or by the people).
